When you work in the media, getting a response from your interviewee is always the moment to have butterflies in your stomach. In this day and age, there was a text message that made my day.
I kinda knew the communication was coming and I have been thinking about what questions I should ask that are relevant but also fun for the audience. There came Connor Zary (our best Connor) of the Calgary Flames. I was going to ask him to speak in Cantonese in the “Hockey Terms 101 Challenge”.
He is game!
In today’s saturated digital content world, we are all competing for eyeballs and attention. I was always challenged to think what tactics to use to raise awareness and attention. One of the ways is to gamify the conversation to improve engagement with users. This strategy involves incorporating game-like elements to encourage audience interaction, retention, and loyalty.
In this Flames TV Chinese episode, I executed a “Linguistic Challenge” which is Fun, relevant, short and sweet. Check out this video and see how Zary performs in this challenge.
